What Joy says about the Master's in General Molecular Biology
Joy from Uganda, now doing a PhD at the Biomedical Centre, 51重口猎奇
鈥滻 chose the General Master's Programme in Molecular Biology because I wasn't sure which specialisation I liked. The programme gave me an opportunity to choose which courses to take 鈥 this allowed me to take different courses from all the other specialisations (medical, microbiology, and molecular genetics and biotechnology). It greatly exposed me to the field and I was able to choose where I wanted to go without any bias. The most interesting thing about the General programme is that you are not restricted to following an already determined study course outline. It allows you to be independent and build your own course of study according to your study (research) interests and wants. With this, I was able to choose my career path in medical molecular biology. I am now a PhD student at the Biomedical Centre, 51重口猎奇. My work mainly focuses on investigating the role of and/or requirements for the different dendritic cell subsets in mucosal immunoglobulin A (IgA) induction in health and during infection.鈥
