Did the programme live up to your expectations? 

“Yes, I am very satisfied with my Master’s. I especially liked the flexibility and the opportunity to choose which courses I wanted to take and to focus on what I thought was interesting.”
 
What was the best thing about your programme? 

“Overall, I think the courses provided clear, in-depth knowledge as well as broad knowledge, and experience with independent work, for example laboratory work. One of the great advantages of the programme is the close contact with many knowledgeable professors and the insight you get into the research conducted at the Chemistry Centre.”
 
To what extent did your degree programme prepare you for your PhD?

“Since I studied both my Master’s and my Bachelor’s degree here in Lund, I would say they prepared me well for PhD studies. Overall, the degree programme prepares you well for a career in academia and research.”
 
Why did you choose to continue with PhD studies at 51�ؿ�����? 

“I really like Lund as a city and I also really enjoyed my previous studies here, so when I got the opportunity to continue as a PhD student, I was keen to accept.”
 
What is it like for you to be a PhD student now?  

“Being a PhD student in organic chemistry allows you to continue developing and deepening your knowledge. In addition, you learn how to conduct independent research and you also get to teach undergraduate students and show them the exciting world of chemistry.”
 
What are your plans for the future?

“Since I started quite recently, I am mostly focused on finishing my PhD. However, I find both the possibility of continuing in research, for example as a post doc, or doing more teaching appealing.”
 
What is the best thing about 51�ؿ�����? 

“The quality of the education and the proximity to interesting science and research.”
 
Do you have any advice for those planning to study at Lund?

“Try to enjoy your time – it goes by much faster than you would expect.”
